How long will it take to process my accident claim?
The time required to process a claim varies depending on the type of accident and the circumstances surrounding the claim. Aspects that affect a claim include who was responsible for the accident, medical reports, Police reports etc. when our solicitors have analysed the evidence to support the claim they will be able to inform you of the likely timescale.
What is an accident claim?
Can be made by an individual to obtain compensation following an injury that was the result of negligence by a third party.
What is a conditional Fee Agreement?
Conditional fee agreement is an agreement you make with your solicitor firm so that you can claim compensation without worrying about initial legal costs. The customer will not be required to pay any fees if your claim loses. Normally customers pay up to 25% of the amount recovered as a contribution to legal costs. This will be subject to your individual circumstances and the actual fee may be more or less than this. The calculation for agreeing the total charges will be agreed with you by our solicitors before you decide to proceed with your claim. The total charges will be based on the time spent on your case by the solicitor and they are required to provide you with a detailed estimate before you proceed. If you win, you will have to pay the solicitor’s total charges including fees, success fees, and disbursements, from the damages you receive from the other side. Your Solicitor may need to arrange insurance to insure your claim is risk free. Your solicitor will explain all of the details before you go ahead.
